There was a time when all Portland Oregon Realtors worked for the Seller. Today, Buyers can choose to have their own representation by choosing an Accredited Buyers' Agent. Accredited Buyers' Agents work exclusively for Buyers and never Sellers.
The Seller still pays the commission in accordance with the listing contract, so there is no cost to the Buyer but there are many benefits.

I moved to Oregon from a small Idaho town in the late 70's with my husband and two small children. I thought I was moving to a big urban city, but found Portland and its suburbs to be relaxed, vibrant and very charming. Yes, gone was the small brick schoolhouse but that was replaced by a neighborhood school where my children received a world-class education. Now that my children are grown, I spend more time at the theatre than at soccer and football games and I fill my "empty nest" by taking care of buyer clients. I have been a licensed Realtor in Oregon since 1992. My husband and I reside in a suburb SW of Portland where I divide my time between real estate, volunteer work, art and entertainment. We are also the proud grandparents of two delightful grandchildren.
